Disney+ hat zum Wochenende nochmals eine größere Anzahl an Titel in der Region EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) gelöscht. Das berichtet Deadline.

Demnach seien nach einem Review der Performance von Library-Titeln (also ältere Formate) mehr als 120 Filme und Serien aus dem Hause The Walt Disney Company aus dem Angebot entfernt worden.

Anders als bei der letzten Löschaktion im Mai vergangenen Jahres (TV Wunschliste berichtete) wurden diesmal aber eher wenige namhafte oder aktuelle Produktionen entfernt. Deadline fasst zusammen, dass vor allem Fernsehfilme, die für den US-amerikanischen Disney Channel hergestellt wurden, sowie sehr alte Disney-Kinofilme, Sportdokumentationen von ESPN und einige Jugend- und Kinderserien entfernt wurden. Namhaftere Löschungen umfassen vor allem die ersten drei Staffeln der Anthologie-Serie "Genius" von National Geographic und die Jugendserien "Zeke und Luther", "Pepper Ann" und "So Random!".

(Anmerkung: Viele aus den USA stammenden Medienkonglomerate fassen in ihren weltweiten Operationen die Regionen Europa und Afrika sowie das, was wir den "Nahen Osten" und die Amerikaner den "Mittleren Osten" nennen, zusammen. Das hängt vor allem damit zusammen, dass "Afrika" und "Mittlerer Osten" für sie eher umsatzschwache Gebiete sind.)

Deadline und Drew Ryan haben eine Liste von 126 weiteren Titeln zusammengestellt, die nun länderübergreifend entfernt wurden.
