Der größte aller Hits nach Verkaufszahlen in Deutschland ist immer noch "Heimweh" von Freddy Quinn aus dem Jahr 1956 ("...brennend heisser Wüstensand..."). Die Originalversion stammt von Dean Martin und heißt "Sweet Memories Are Made Of This". "Heimweh" hat sich bis 1966 über 2,5 Millionen mal in West Deutschland verkauft.
